9800 Eggs

My lovely friend Michelle sent me this fabulous image, of Volker Kraft decorating a tree with 9,800 Easter eggs in his garden in the ancient town of Saalfeld in Germany. The Kraft family have decorated their tree with Easter eggs for over 40 years. What a brilliant and beautiful thing.

Lotta Jansdotter

When you have a love for print, and a borderline obsession with stationery, what could possibly satiate your desire than exquisite sticky notes, with the most wonderful designs? Lotta Jansdotter does just that.

I planned to make some of her brilliant baby things from this book before M arrived. Hasn't happened yet, but I still flick longingly through the book thinking of new intentions...

Pretty in the City: Bloomsbury

Walking around, specifically keeping an eye out for PITC, I looked up and saw this ornamental stonework, not colourful, true, but it had my name on it! I had to snap it up. Historical pretty in the city.

These coats of arms actually say Che Sara Sara, the family motto of the architect's employer (architect: C. Fitzroy Doll). I found more info here.

Round the corner, I caught this work by Nathan Bowen:

Happy Mothers Day

This is what my first Mothers Day looked like :)

Happy Feet.
